Obama Campaign Staff Support Che Guevara

I was going to post a little something on the Cold War heating up after hearing that some Russian bombers are harassing the U.S. Navy off the Coast of Japan when I found an even more blog worthy item.

Seems some volunteers in an Obama Campaign office in Houston have decorated it with a Cuban flag featuring the image of the Marxist and notorious terrorist.

Okay, so it’s not an official Campaign office and not funded by Obama, but still, what types of folks are voting for him???  And have they no concept of politics and history?

Hillary; Buy Healthcare or Get Your Wages Garnished…

Via Drudge Report…

Clinton health plan may mean tapping pay

WASHINGTON – Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday she might be willing to garnish the wages of workers who refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans.

Okay, you won’t buy health insurance, but if Hillary is elected, she’s telling you that you better, or else.  The Government will garnish your wages… and you’ll be automatically enrolled.

Scary isn’t it.  In order to institute national healthcare, the government will become the biggest bureaucratic manager of the system.  Just thrills me to the bone to think that she wants the government to get ever invasive into our private lives.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve seen how government runs medical facilities.  The Army provides all my medical and dental, and while the folks who work there are generally nice folks, the red tape and burdensome procedures are fairly belittling.  We’re pretty much treated like cattle.  Okay, in the military, we’re used to it and don’t take it personally.  But, as a civilian, I’d never tolerate the coldness of mass production healthcare.

1988 – 2008

I think this will be a great year – it has so much meaning. Finished my fifth and final year of college 20 years ago (yes, I know, should have been done in four). Received my Lieutenant’s bars 20 years ago too. Would you believe that I still wear the same Class A uniform today that I was commissioned in back in 88? Okay, the pants are a little snug, but with the jacket on, ya can’t tell.

Anyway, I was just reminiscing about some of the music I listened to in 1988. So, here’s the Top 40 back then. Remember these?

Top 40 Chart List – 1988
1. Faith – George Michael
2. Need You Tonight – INXS
3. Got My Mind Set On You – George Harrison
4. Never Gonna Give You Up – Rick Astley
5. Sweet Child O’ Mine – Guns N’ Roses
6. So Emotional – Whitney Houston
7. Heaven Is A Place On Earth – Belinda Carlisle
8. Could’ve Been – Tiffany
9. Hands To Heaven – Breathe
10. Roll With It – Steve Winwood

I Don’t Carealot about Camelot…

These comparisons to the Jack Kennedy “Camelot” days seem to be growing.  Now, Caroline Kennedy is backing Obama.  Are we to suffer a growing media trend to Obama/Kennedy similarities?

I hope not.  You’re no Kennedy, Mr. Obama…
