Some of my least favorite protest photos

May 24, 2007

In a previous post, I included photos that would have been mildly amusing if it weren’t so tragic.  Below are some photos I stumbled on at the Zombietime Hall of Shame that are gut wrenching, raw and examples of pure evil.

The photographer seems to attend some pretty rough demonstrations to capture the weird, the obscene and the outrageous.  Of course, these protesters would simply fall back on their “freedom of speech” if questioned about the extent of their message.

I doubt the average American realizes how deranged all of these folks are.  I just hope that these ass clowns stay in San Fransisco, where most of these photos were taken.

Here’s a sample.  Click the link above to see all the gruesome rest.

What appalls me most is that these folks get away with displays of absolute hatred in the name of free speech, but a conservative paper at Tufts University gets flack for publishing an article illustrating the dangers of Islam. The University claimed the article created a hostile environment. H/T to the Primary Source.

Tufts University finds conservative student publication guilty on two counts each of harassment and creation of a hostile environment With this decision, Tufts University changes its position on free speech and effectively hampers the ability of its students to engage in political dialogue.

And, more recently, a young girl gets arrested for handing out an anti-gay message about a fellow student. Why does this go unnoticed? Or why does it go ignored?

A 16-year-old Crystal Lake girl facing a felony hate crime charge alleging she and a friend distributed anti-homosexual fliers at her high school must remain locked up until her case goes to trial, a McHenry County judge ruled Tuesday.

Okay, that’s just bizarre.

Found the following odd news on CourtTV.com.

Police invite women to view recovered panties stolen from laundry rooms

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Police are asking Colorado women a rather delicate question: Are these your panties? As part of an investigation into widespread underwear theft, police have invited women to view photos of about 1,300 undergarments stolen from laundry rooms near Colorado State University.

Chih Hsien Wu, 43, is suspected of stealing $6,000 worth of undergarments between Sept. 23 and May 18. He was arrested on suspicion of felony theft, and his bail was set Wednesday at $15,000. It was not known whether he had an attorney.

Police issued the invitation as part of an effort to see how many victims there are.

But they won’t get to reclaim their undergarments — at least not yet. Police say that once the case is closed, the victims can reclaim their underwear — if they still want it back.

My question, can you really tell me that you can identify your personals from a photo?  And does it really matter???
