Congress Approval Down to 29%; Bush Approval Steady at 33%

May 15, 2007

I finished a statistics class last year for my MBA and learned some pretty interesting things that drive statistics.  I still like to review them just to consider some of the inherent messages they indirectly send.  At face value, though, Gallup is announcing that our Democratic Congress is doing worse than the President in approval ratings.

A new Gallup Poll finds continued low levels of public support for both Congress and President George W. Bush. Twenty-nine percent of Americans approve of Congress, down slightly from last month’s reading (33%) and this year’s high point of 37%, while Bush’s approval rating is holding steady at 33%.

Both the ratings of Congress and the president are slightly lower than their respective 2007 averages. Approval ratings of Congress are higher among Democrats than Republicans, while Bush’s ratings are much higher among Republicans.

I could prove God statistically.

A Victory Against Campus Extremism

May 15, 2007

For all of you who liken California to a bunch of whiny granola eating hippies who are fantically applying Grecian Formula to their beards, there is hope.  Having worked on a California campus, the following story actually surprises me that someone had to intestinal fortitude to make this decision.

Maybe sanity is regaining its popularity in regards to telling off these muslim wolves in liberal sheep clothing.  Read the full article to understand the referenced image below.

In a powerful blow to the anti-Israel movement on American campuses, the University of California at has canceled the Fifth Annual International Al Awda Conference that was scheduled to take place there on the weekend of May 24-26. This marks only the second time that an American university has declined unconditionally to host an anti-Jewish hate fest that masquerades as an educational event about the Middle East (the other campus being Rutgers University in New Jersey in 2003). Such a cancellation comes on the heels of a new ruling by the US Civil Rights Commission that anti-Semitism on campuses has been masquerading as discussion of the Middle East.
