Bamboozled by Angela McGlowan

May 7, 2007

Might be worthy of five minutes of your time.  Taken from Right Wing News.  I found a great little quote on Angela’s website;

Q: “George Bush doesn’t hate black people?”
A: “Bill Clinton had a black secretary. George W. Bush has a black Secretary of State.  I rest my case.”

A Mini-Interview With Angela McGlowan, Author Of Bamboozled

On Friday, I did a phone interview with Angela McGlowan to discuss her new book, Bamboozled: How Americans are being Exploited by the Lies of the Liberal Agenda. What follows is an edited transcript of our conversation.

In your book, you promise to expose, “the scheme liberals ran to con minorities into loyally supporting a political party that despises their most deeply felt values.” What is that scheme?

Angela McGlowan: It is a love affair between liberal politicians, the liberal mainstream media, and bamboozling. Let me tell you how it historically happened.

Republicans have done the heavy lifting, not only from the Emancipation Proclamation, but Republicans started the movement for women’s suffrage. Also, Republicans helped create the NAACP. Republicans helped create some of the first historical black colleges. …After reconstruction, you had black senators and black congressional leaders that were Republican…

…What made blacks…become Democrats?

Conservation gone amok?

May 7, 2007

capn-paul.jpgI have never before read something so disturbing, so malevolent as the ravings of Sea Shepherd Founder and President, Paul Watson.  Mr. Watson has just proclaimed the human race the scourge of the earth and the ultimate cause if its impending doom.  On his website, Watson posted an editorial entitled, “The Beginning of the End for Life as We Know it on Planet Earth” proposing among other things that we need to “re-wild” the planet. What the hell does that mean, you ask?  According to him, it means reversing thousands of years of human development to return to a point where human beings have absolutely no impact on nature.  Here’s some of his points:

  • We are the ruthlessly territorial primates whose numbers have soared far beyond the level of global carrying capacity for the deadly behavioural characteristics that we display.
  •  The extinction of all of [these] great mega-species is directly attributable to “primitive” human hunters. Some fifty millennium ago, the entire ecosystem of Australia was disrupted and transformed by humans.

I could spend hours researching this, but will not.  I’m just going to posit a question for someone to answer, what was the human population 50 millennium ago?

  •  The planet’s ecosystem is a collective living organism and operates very much like the human body. Humans are presently acting upon this body in the same manner as an invasive virus with the result that we are eroding the ecological immune system. A virus kills its host and that is exactly what we are doing with our planet’s life support system. We are killing our host the planet Earth. We should not be living in human communities that enclose tiny preserved ecosystems within them.

So now we’re a virus?

  •  No human community should be larger than 20,000 people and separated from other communities by wilderness areas.

No more major metropolitan areas.  Sorry, New York, LA, London, Rome, you guys are history!

  •  We need to radically and intelligently reduce human populations to fewer than one billion.

Radically and intelligently reduce the human population?  Okay, were over 6 billion now, how does he propose this?  Well, that’s the rub, he doesn’t tell us how to do this.

  •  All consumption should be local. No food products need to be transported over hundreds of miles to market. Who should have children? Those who are responsible and completely dedicated to the responsibility which is actually a very small percentage of humans. Being a parent should be a career. Whereas some people are engineers, musicians, or lawyers, others with the desire and the skills can be fathers and mothers. Schools can be eliminated if the professional parent is also the educator of the child.

As with any current whack-job, Mr. Watson sure puts some interesting ideas out there, but consistently fails to provide any useful means to do anything about it.  Its a common trend with these type of folk, constantly blaming the human race for all the problems in the world, but failing to recognize any positive benefits our social and technological developments.  In fact, in his eyes, all this progress is worthless and damaging to the environment and the animals therein.  It seems to me that he wants us all to go back to living in caves, scratching out a meager existence on vegan diets while wearing no clothes.  Can you imagine the global suffering and misery of the world’s human population just so forests and animals can go back to the way things were before?  Why is this man allowed to spew such utter nonsense without being put away as a deranged lunatic?  And why is he allowed to be a Founder and President of such a hostile organization? If you read his short bio on the Sea Shepard Conservation site, you will be amazed at his inability to relate to his fellow humans, but has instead developed friendships with whales, seals and dolphins. What an absolute nut-job.
